START OF THE RACE - SUNDAY 26th OCTOBER 2025
The start of the race will be given on Sunday 27th of October 2024 at 9.00 am on the boulevard Michelet (Marseille) near the Orange Velodrome.
ACCESS TO THE START, WAVE DEPARTURE & BAG DROP-OFF
ACCESS TO THE START
- Access to the starting line will be via the Ganay Esplanade in Marseille, through Rue Raymond Teisseire, and upon presentation of a control bracelet given out when collecting race bibs. This bracelet must be worn on the wrist of every registered runner in 2025 in order to enter the start area.
- After passing through the Orange Vélodrome, runners will be directed onto Boulevard Michelet via the Allées Ray Grassi for the preferential corrals and via the Jean Bouin Esplanade for the ‘General Public’ corrals. Please note that no access will be possible via the Rond-Point du Prado or any other location.
- Sanitary facilities will be available in the ambulatory of the Orange Vélordrome and before access to the departure area, around the Orange Vélodrome and in your SAS.
- A security check and search will also be carried out before entering the area.
- Water bottles and hydration bags will be allowed.
- Costumes will be authorised provided that the runners' faces are visible in their entirety and that the chosen disguise allows for rapid palpation by the security agents.
- For public transport users, the start is near the metro station Sainte-Marguerite Dromel - Line M2
START BY WAVES
- The runners with a preferential SAS of -1h20, -1h30, -1h45, will access the starting line located on the Boulevard Michelet by taking the Allée Ray Grassi located on the right of the Orange Vélodrome and giving access to the parvis Jean Bouin.
- Runners holding the SAS "GRAND PUBLIC" will take the route up to the Jean Bouin forecourt of the Orange Vélodrome and will be positioned in the SAS waiting area at the foot of the forecourt.
Access to the preferential SAS (-1h20, -1h30, -1h45) at the latest at 8:30 am. Latecomers will leave in the following SAS
- At 9.00 am the race will start with the 1st wave, made up of the Elite runners and the preferential SAS
Start of the first race wave at 9 am, then start of the next waves every 5 minutes.
- Wave 1: SAS Elites / 1h20 / 1h30
- Wave 2: SAS 1h45
- Wave 3 to 10: GENERAL PUBLIC
- Your time will be set based on the actual time triggered individually when you pass under the starting arch.

THE RACERS OF PACE
Join the 20 Run to Progress pacers, sponsored by Hyundai and equipped by New Balance, on the day of Marseille-Cassis. Divided into different starting waves, the pacers will help you achieve your various goals. All you have to do is choose the right pace!

SUPPLIES
The runners will benefit from 3 supplies on the course as well as a supply bag on arrival.
- 5th kilometer: Roundabout of Luminy
- 10th kilometer: Col de la Gineste
- 15th kilometer: Bois Joli
At each supply point, clean areas will be set up and in which you are invited to throw your bottles and any waste.
- Before the first supplies station, runners will be able to benefit from a distribution of Powerade drinks to support their efforts.
- As part of a pilot program, supported by the City of Marseille, limiting the use of plastic bottles during the race, the organization will position a drinking water tank at the third aid station to fill eco-cups.
- Thanks to the Aix-Marseille-Provence Metropolis and the participation of the Société des Eaux de Marseille, a water ramp will be installed around the 7th kilometer to allow the refilling of personal hydration devices, as well as at the finish line.
On arrival, after the water distribution area, each participant collects an individual supply bag including the necessary to regain strength.
COURSE MAP
THE ARRIVAL OF THE RACE & TRANSPORTATION
- The finish is located in the upper part of Cassis in the heart of the Provence vineyards - Avenue des Albizzi.
- After the finish line, you will be able to collect your "Finisher" medal and your individual supply bag.
- The changing bags left at the start will be redistributed at the finish on the Avenue Foch.
- For the smooth running of the finish, each runner must comply with the sanitary measures that will be put in place by the organisation.

CLOAKROOM BAGS / DEPOSIT IN MARSEILLE
- The cloakroom bags can be deposited in the trucks provided for this purpose positioned in the Rue Raymond Teisseire near the Esplanade Ganay. A numbered sticker stuck on your bag and on your number will be given to you to recover your checkroom bag at the arrival Cassis.
- Please note that only the transparent cloakroom bags given in the Village Expo will be accepted in the organisation's trucks.
- The cloakroom bags are limited to a size of 35 cm (width) x 45 cm (height), with a maximum weight of 2 kg and a maximum capacity of 20 L. The contents of the bag must not exceed this weight or capacity. Only the official bag provided by the organizers will be accepted; no other bag or format will be allowed.
- Cloakroom bags will be deposited from 6.45 am and before 8.00 am.

- You have the option to request access to a preferential starting corral: under 1h20, under 1h30, or under 1h45.
- Any request for access to a preferential corral must be made during the registration process.
- Once your request is recorded, you have until October 7, 2025, to upload your proof of performance through your Marseille-Cassis account.
ATTENTION : even if you ask for an area, you don't have the garantee to access it. Your place will be validated once your proof downloaded and within the limit of available places.

LOADING OF MEDICAL CERTIFICATES
In 2025, a medical certificate is no longer required in Marseille-Cassis. Each participant must provide a PPS certificate (Health Prevention Pathway) from July 26, 2025 or an FFA license (competition, business, running) for the 2025/2026 season.
According to the current FFA regulations: Article II-A
In accordance with the current regulations of the French Athletics Federation (FFA), Article II-A, participation in "Marseille-Cassis" requires each participant to provide a mandatory medical certificate. To do so, participants may present:
- A PPS (Health Prevention Pathway) certificate dated less than three (3) months before the competition. The certificate must be issued on or after July 26, 2025.
- OR A 2025-2026 license issued by the FFA and valid on the date of the event: "Athlé Compétition," "Athlé Entreprise," or "Athlé Running."
Note: "Athlé Santé," "Athlé Encadrement," "Athlé Découverte" licenses, and "J’aime Courir" Passes are not accepted. Holders of one of these licenses or a Pass must provide a PPS (Health Prevention Pathway) certificate issued from July 26, 2025, onwards.
- Starting from this 2025 edition, neither a medical certificate nor any other document will be accepted as proof of a medical certificate.
