MARSEILLE START - SUNDAY, OCTOBER 25, 2026

The race start will be given on Sunday, October 25, 2026, at 9:00 AM on Boulevard Michelet (Marseille) near the Orange Vélodrome.

ACCESS TO THE START, WAVE DEPARTURES & AID STATIONS

ACCESS TO THE START

  • Access to the start line will be via the Esplanade Ganay in Marseille, accessible through Rue Raymond Teisseire, upon presentation of your 2026 bib and a control wristband provided during bib collection. This wristband must imperatively be worn on the wrist of each registered runner to access the start area.
  • After crossing the Orange Vélodrome, runners will be directed to Boulevard Michelet via Allées Ray Grassi for preferential corrals (SAS) and the Esplanade Jean Bouin for "General Public" corrals. Please note, no access will be possible via the Rond-Point du Prado or any other location.
  • Restrooms will be accessible in the walkways of the Orange Vélodrome and before entering the start area, around the Orange Vélodrome, and within your corrals.
  • Security checks and searches will also be conducted before entering the area.
  • Hydration flasks and bags are authorized.
  • Costumes are authorized provided that the runners' faces are entirely visible and the chosen costume allows for a quick pat-down by security agents.

  • For public transport users, the start is located near the Sainte-Marguerite Dromel metro station - Line M2.
  • Closing of the start access area on the Esplanade Ganay (Marseille) at 9:30 AM.

WAVE DEPARTURES

  • Runners holding a preferential SAS for -1h20, -1h30, or -1h45 will access the start line on Boulevard Michelet by using the Allée Ray Grassi located to the right of the Orange Vélodrome.
  • "GENERAL PUBLIC" SAS holders will follow the route up to the Jean Bouin forecourt of the Orange Vélodrome and position themselves in the waiting corrals at the foot of the forecourt.
  • Access to preferential SAS (-1h20, -1h30, -1h45) at the latest by 8:30 AM. Latecomers will depart in the following waves.

Departure of the 1st wave at 9:00 AM, 2nd wave at 9:05 AM, then subsequent waves every 8 minutes.

  • Wave 1: Elite / 1h20 / 1h30 SAS
  • Wave 2: 1h45 SAS
  • Waves 3 to 9: GENERAL PUBLIC

  • Para-athletics (Handisport) departure at 8:45 AM.
  • Your time will be established based on the real time (chip time) triggered individually when passing under the start arch.

PACEMAKERS

On the day of Marseille-Cassis - AG2R LA MONDIALE, find the 20 "Run to Progress" pacemakers, sponsored by Hyundai and equipped by New Balance. Spread across the different starting waves, the pacemakers will help you reach your goals. Simply choose the right pace!

Distribution of pacemakers at the start:

  • Wave 1 - 1 runner for 1h30
  • Wave 2 - 1 runner for 1h30 / 1 runner for 1h45
  • Wave 3 - 1 runner for 1h45 / 1 runner for 2h00 / 1 runner for 2h15
  • Wave 4 - 1 runner for 1h45 / 1 runner for 2h00 / 1 runner for 2h15
  • Wave 5 - 1 runner for 1h45 / 1 runner for 2h00 / 1 runner for 2h15

AID STATIONS

Runners will benefit from 3 aid stations on the course as well as a refreshment bag at the finish.

  • 5th kilometer: Rond Point de Luminy
  • 10th kilometer: Col de la Gineste
  • 15th kilometer: Bois Joli

At each aid station, cleanliness zones will be set up where you are invited to dispose of your bottles and any waste.

  • Ahead of the first aid station, Powerade drinks will be distributed to runners to support their effort.
  • As part of a program supported by the Ville de Marseille to limit plastic bottle use, a drinking water tank will be positioned at the third aid station to fill eco-cups.
  • Thanks to the Métropole Aix-Marseille-Provence and the participation of the Société des Eaux de Marseille, a water refill station will be installed around the 7th kilometer to allow for the refilling of personal hydration devices, as well as at the finish line.

At the finish, after the water distribution zone, each participant will receive an individual refreshment bag containing the necessities to recover.
The refreshment bag will be handed out at the finish exclusively upon presentation of the official race wristband provided during bib collection and mandatory for accessing the start area in Marseille.

CASSIS FINISH & TRANSPORT

  • The finish is located in the upper part of Cassis in the heart of the Provence vineyards - Avenue des Albizzi.
  • Following the finish line and after the water station, you can collect your "Finisher" medal and your individual refreshment bag.
  • Gear bags dropped off at the start will be redistributed at the finish on Avenue Foch.

GEAR BAGS / DROP-OFF IN MARSEILLE

  • Gear bags can be dropped off in the dedicated trucks positioned on Rue Raymond Teisseire near the Esplanade Ganay. A numbered sticker attached to your bag and your bib will be provided to retrieve your gear bag at the Cassis finish.
  • Please note: only the transparent gear bags provided at the Expo Village will be accepted in the organization's trucks. No other bags or suitcases will be allowed.
  • The gear bags have a limited size of 35 W x 45 H cm, a maximum weight of 2 kg, and a maximum capacity of 20L. Bag contents cannot exceed this weight or capacity. No oversized bags or bags other than the one provided by the organization will be accepted.
  • The contents of your bag must be visible for security reasons. It is not permitted to insert another bag (such as a backpack or other) into the gear bag provided by the organization.
  • Bag drop-off starts at 6:45 AM and ends at 8:00 AM.

PREFERENTIAL SAS & MEDICAL PROOF

  • You have the possibility to request access to a preferential SAS at the start of the race: sub-1h20, sub-1h30, and sub-1h45.
  • All requests for preferential SAS access must be made imperatively during the registration process.
  • Once your request is registered, you have until October 7, 2026, to upload your performance proof via your Marseille-Cassis - AG2R LA MONDIALE account.

ATTENTION: requesting a slot does not guarantee access. Your spot will be validated once your proof is uploaded and within the limit of available spaces.

MEDICAL PROOF / HEALTH PREVENTION PASS (PPS) OR FFA LICENSE

To participate in the 2026 edition of Marseille-Cassis - AG2R LA MONDIALE, every participant must provide a mandatory PPS certificate (Health Prevention Pass) issued on or after January 15, 2026, or an FFA license (competition, enterprise, running) for the 2026/2027 season.

According to current FFA regulations: Article II-A. In accordance with the current regulations of the French Athletics Federation (FFA), Article II-A, participation in "Marseille-Cassis - AG2R LA MONDIALE" is subject to the mandatory provision of medical proof for each participant. To do this, participants may present:

  • A PPS certificate (Health Prevention Pass) valid for one year and in effect on the date of the event. The certificate must be issued starting from January 15, 2026.
  • OR a 2026-2027 license issued by the FFA and valid on the date of the event: "Athlé Compétition," "Athlé Entreprise," or "Athlé Running." Attention: "Athlé Santé," "Athlé Encadrement," or "Athlé Découverte" licenses are not accepted. Holders of one of these licenses or a Pass must provide a PPS certificate issued from January 15, 2026.
  • As a reminder, neither a medical certificate nor any other document can be accepted as medical proof.

To digitally validate your medical proof, you must directly enter in the dedicated space of your "runner account":

  • Either your PPS certificate number from January 15, 2026.
  • Either your license number for the 2026-2027 season. Active link to the runner account accessible from your confirmation email. If you have lost your registration confirmation, make a new request via the "My Reservation" section.

  • Complete report and results in La Provence on Monday, October 26, 2026. 2026 results will be broadcast live during the race with split times at intermediate points (5th, 10th, and 15th KM). In the meantime, you can consult the 2025 results, download your diploma, and view the results archives of Marseille-Cassis - AG2R La Mondiale since 2000.
